Light Night 2012
Black Ships Exhibition Launch Event
Event date: Friday, 10/02/2012 - 18:00 to 22:00
Come along and see Antenna shine at Light Night 2012, and experience the work of two of our favorite artists, Tim Haynes and Tracey Kershaw. And if you are thirsty or fancy a bite to eat, our bar and restaurant will be open until 10pm.
In the Foyer – Tim Haynes
Tim's work is essentially concerned with seemingly random moments inspired by landscape, places, gestures, structures or sequences, in search of multiple connections that explore identity and memory.
After last year’s thought provoking "prodigal_sunbeams" in Bromley House Library where the light installation mapped out the contours of the garden Tim will be producing a new installation “black_ships” for Antenna, exploring how old industries are merging with new technology to influence the way we live and work.
Find out more about Tim’s work here.
In the Restaurant – Tracey Kershaw
Showing for Light Night only across 6 screens in the Antenna bar and restaurant will be video work by Tracey Kershaw exploring the mother/child relationship through everyday events.
Find out more about Tracey’s work here.
